There are three types of care you can choose from following your report of findings. Your chiropractor will discuss each of these with you:
Pain Relief – Most of our clients visit us initially because of aches and pains and this is one of our initial aims of care- to help with those aches and pains.
Stabilization Care- This form of care consists of an intensive pain relief phase and a maintenance phase with the aim to stabilise the current condition of your joints and spine and prevent frequent re-exacerbations. It aims to improve pain levels, improve range of motion, reflexes, weight distribution however we would not be looking to change the shape of your spine or look for changes on x-rays.
Corrective Care- Care program designed for there to be measurable change in the x-rays, scans, curves of the spine etc. This form of care will require an intensive phase, a home care program and in- house rehabilitation. This will then be followed by a maintenance and or wellness phase to maintain the changes achieved.
Following a completed course of pain relief/ stabilization or corrective care, you may be offered the following to maintain the changes you have achieved so far.
Maintenance care- this is where we would transition you after your intensive care phase to a point where you can come in as infrequently as possible to maintain the changes / corrections you have attained so far. The ideal frequency will be found by gradually spreading out your adjustments from your current frequency to your individual “sweet spot”.
Wellness Care- Just like eating well and having a regular exercise routine, some of our clients opt to continue having regular adjustments to ensure their nervous system is free from interference, to make sure their body is always functioning at its best.
